Religious Holidays 和 Observances: in recognition of Bowdoin’s commitment to a diverse 和 inclusive student body 和 the variety of religions observed 和 practiced by our students, faculty are encouraged to avoid conflicts between academic coursework 和 major religious holidays. The Rachel Lord Center for Religious 和 Spiritual Life maintains a calendar of major religious observances of the officially recognized religious groups at Bowdoin. In addition, the multifaith calendar from the Harvard Divinity School is a valuable resource regarding many other religious observances that may be of significance to members of the Bowdoin community. Students or faculty who have any questions regarding how best to balance the academic calendar alongside religious observances are encouraged to consult with the Director of Religious 和 Spiritual Life.
College Holidays 和 Observances: Human Resources maintains the calendar of College holidays 和 special days off 和 can provide guidance on the interpretation 和 recording of work around these events. HR encourages staff, students, 和 faculty to reference the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's calendar of federal holidays as the official source for those dates 和 observances.
